The Ultimate Secure House:

Strategically located in the awesome San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado, this patented steel-reinforced concrete earth house was built to withstand almost any natural or man-made disaster you can name. It is more secure, safe, and functional than any conventional house could ever be, yet still has a level of comfort that one might not expect to find in an underground house.

The artificial rock front blends in perfectly with the natural environment

Some years ago, the owners of this property had a hunting cabin in another part of Colorado. Beautiful, yes, but the wood construction posed numerous problems. Several "near-miss" incidents made the family realize how vulnerable the cabin was to any number of disasters and threats. A winter storm, which blew the front door open, might have caused the water pipes to freeze and break, flooding both the upper and lower levels, resulting in many thousands of dollars damage, had it not been discovered in time. A forest fire, which started when a tree fell on the above-ground power line leading to the cabin, came frighteningly close to the wood structure and to within just a few feet of the above-ground propane tanks. A hailstorm necessitated a new roof, a new paint job, and major repairs to the siding. The large front glass windows were spared from damage, but nevertheless were extremely vulnerable. And finally, when the cabin was broken into and many valuable antiques were stolen, the owners decided to look for a safer kind of structure for their retreat, and a better, more remote location.

After spending 2 ½ years studying every kind of alternative house construction, everything from earthships made out of spare tires, to rammed-earth construction, to monolithic domes, they ultimately realized there was only one kind of construction that would afford them the kind of security they wanted: an earth house (made with Formwork's patented thin-shell concrete construction technique). The house they finally built is not just any earth house. It is what has come to be known in the industry as a "secure house." It is an unparalleled model of the ultimate secure house. Its many features will amaze you.

While the term "secure house" is still relatively new to the general public, this unique segment of the house construction industry has, for the past decade, been growing steadily, albeit slowly. Presently, with the increased threat of major terrorist attacks, many more people than ever before are building secure houses. Also, more contractors and consultants have recently dedicated themselves to the concept of disaster-resistant and self-sufficient residences. It is only with a realistic understanding of the potential for terrorist attacks, and the magnitude of the problems they could cause, that one can truly recognize the value of a secure house.

This patented steel-reinforced concrete earth sheltered structure, properly called a thin-shell dome, is built to withstand almost any natural or man-made disaster you can name. And that's not just an idle promise. These buildings have withstood tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes - some measuring over 7.0 on the Richter scale - and in every case they have come away with no structural damage at all. Unlike monolithic domes, and all other types of house construction, only Formwork's concrete domes can be completely buried deep underground.

The house has 2472 square feet, with an additional 800 square feet in the attached 24' x 36' underground garage. The main floor of the house consists of a large living room, two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, pantry, and laundry closet. Upstairs is a loft and two multi-purpose storage/sleeping rooms. The house currently has ten beds (that is, beds, futons, and sleeping bunks) in seven different rooms. There is lots of additional space for other cots or bedrolls. It would be very accommodating for an entire extended family during a prolonged national emergency or global crisis. The safe room also has a ¾ bath with shower. A 22' long x 6' wide hallway leads to the garage. This hall is lined on one side with 18" deep shelf units, providing a considerable amount of quick-access storage. The other wall of this hall is a convenient place to store larger items, such as skis, bicycles, or a vacuum cleaner, that wouldn't fit on the shelves. Additionally, a large storage attic is found above the garage.

The living room's high-domed ceiling gives the room an open, spacious feeling. A custom steel stairway leads from the loft to a cupola perched on top of the house. Light from the cupola gives the same effect as a skylight, but without any loss in security. The four windows in this "lookout" allow for a 360-degree view of the surrounding property.

In addition to the four windows in the cupola, there are six additional windows in the house; each bedroom has a window, and the living room has another four windows. So the living room, open kitchen, and loft all receive light from eight different windows (the four in the cupola, and the four in the living room).

Because the windows are on the small side, and also because the two bathrooms, the two upstairs multi-purpose rooms, the garage, and, of course, the safe room are all windowless, the house is somewhat darker than most conventional houses. However, the large solar system provides plenty of power to run electrical lights.

The lack of large windows is one of the main reasons the house is so secure. Unavoidably, there is a trade-off between lots of natural light and security. It is simply impossible to adequately secure a house with numerous large pane windows.

If one wants to further fortify the house, hardened steel shutters can be locked in place over all the windows. In this “mode” the inside of the house has no outside light at all. But again, the oversized solar electric system has plenty of power for lights.

to blend into the surroundings!

The open kitchen has light pine cabinetry and energy efficient appliances.

"Energy efficient" implies extra insulation and double pane glass windows to most people, but this type of earth house has proven itself to be the ultimate in energy efficiency/heat retention. With no heat at all, the inside temperature will not drop below 50 degrees F., even in extreme, prolonged winter conditions. For comfort, however, there is a Harmon wood/coal freestanding stove, along with a back-up propane heater. In the summer months, the house temperature stays pleasantly cool.

Every appliance throughout the house was specially manufactured for use in solar electric houses. The kitchen has a Sun Frost refrigerator/freezer, a Peerless propane range with "no-glow-bar" oven, and a Staber 2000 clothes washer, while the garage has a chest-style freezer.

Outside, a 1,000 gallon above-ground propane tank is extremely well hidden and protected from potential vandals. Just in case, there is an additional 1,000 gallon underground propane tank. The generator, water heater, kitchen range and oven, wall heater, and clothes dryer all use propane, but the 2,000 gallons of stored propane should supply all of these appliances for a very long time. In an all-out national crisis, it would be a simple matter to heat water with the back-up wood-fired water heater, and to dry clothes with an old fashioned hand wringer and clothesline. Also, as a back-up to the propane range, there is a Stanley-Waterton wood stove and range.

The owners originally planned to use the house as a summer house. However, because of it's comfort and year-round accessibility, the house is well suited for year-round living. Either way, whether one chooses to use it as a primary residence, or only periodically, they can be comfortably assured that all of their valuable belongings and supplies will be very safe, even when away for extended periods.

Joel Skousen, the renowned expert on secure houses, and author of the book "The Secure house", and editor/publisher of the excellent newsletter "The World Affairs Brief", has laid down a list of what he considers to be essential for self-sufficiency and security. The essentials are: an independent water supply as well as a back-up supply, alternate electrical power, energy efficient appliances, alternate forms of heat, more than one communication option, adequate storage facilities, including cool storage for long-term food storage, fire-resistant construction and the ability to fight a fire inside the house, multiple forms of security and intruder detection, a high-security safe room/fallout shelter, above normal fortification of the house and grounds and a remote location. Joel states that very few people actually achieve 100% of these elements. It's safe to say, this house has it all!

Even though Joel listed remote location last, it is, perhaps, the most important criteria. So important an issue that he wrote a separate book about it entitled, "Strategic Relocation". To build a secure house in the city or even in the suburbs would likely be self-defeating. If however, the secure house is built in a remote location, it then, and only then, can be considered a true retreat. The two, a secure house and a remote location, go hand in hand.

In answer to the question "What exactly is a retreat?", one author wrote, "A retreat is a place you go to live, not die. It is a place out of the mainstream of events that contains the means to survive without outside support. It is defensible and is put together with a realistic understanding of what the dangers will be. It is both a plan and an inventory. A retreat is a place where you find the shelter and protection, food, water, medicine and warmth you prepared for yourself until society returns to its normal, nondestructive, repetitious rut. The trick here is to have a prepared retreat wherein you can be one of the survivors."

This same author also wrote, "Why retreat? is a question that 90 percent of our population cannot and will not answer. If they could, that same 90 percent of our friends, neighbors, and countymen would have to admit that things may not continue on as they are now. They would also have to admit that they will need a retreat - something completely impossible for the average American to do."

Following the tragic 9/11 attacks, a renewed interest in civil defense and personal preparedness alike has occurred that is unrivalled since the start of the Cold War following WWII. Since then, the need for owning a secure house has taken on a new urgency. For the past two or more years, the news has been full of scary reports about the possibility of bio-terrorism and resulting pandemic.

More recently, there have been reports about the possibility of nuclear terrorism on American soil using suitcase nukes. On December 5th, 2004, CNN had a special documentary about the inevitability of nuclear terrorism. When the controlled secular media is reporting on such a controversial topic as this with such candor, it should be taken very seriously.

An excellent article by Joel Skousen which covers the Russian nuclear threat is entitled, "Analysis of Strategic Threats In the Current Decade (2000-2010"). Of course, the internet is filled with other articles about Russia's massive military build up. And, more recently China, Iran, North Korea, and Syria are emerging as major threats also.

Skousen believes that a pre-emptive Russian nuclear first strike will happen sometime after 2004 but not later than 2012. He says they want to first make sure that the U.S. completes its unilateral disarmament of the feared MX intercontinental ballistic missiles, which were scheduled for dismantling in 2004, and that the Russians won't strike before these missiles are eliminated, despite the standing orders to the military by former President Clinton (PDD-60) to absorb a first strike and not launch on warning.

The Center for Disease Control, along with the World Health Organization, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of houseland Security have been repeatedly warning us that another flu pandemic, worse than ever before, is bound to occur. In fact, they are now routinely using the word pandemic, instead of epidemic.

To put this prediction into proper perspective it is important to realize that the great Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918-1919 killed well over 20 million people worldwide, more people in one year than the Black Plague killed in the entire four years of its outbreak.

Other news stories, such as that of "The Mystery of the Dead Scientists," as well as many others, found only in alternative news outlets, seem to support the CDC's warnings. Much information about this incredible and ongoing saga, can be found at, by clicking on the "dead scientists" icon in the left-hand column.

Reportedly, over the past several years, well over two dozen of the world's leading microbiologists and scientific researchers, who specialized in infectious diseases and biological agents such as smallpox and anthrax, as well as DNA sequencing, have died, all in highly unusual circumstances. It is highly unlikely that these deaths are purely a matter of coincidence, but instead appear to be part of some sinister plot, the reasons for which can easily be guessed.

The government officials are not only worried about a flu pandemic, but also about the possibility that a major smallpox outbreak will happen. In fact, they are so worried about smallpox that, in June of 2001, they conducted a major simulation of a terrorist smallpox attack against 3 American cities. It was named Dark Winter, and it lived up to its name.

The exercise took place at Andrews Air Force Base, and was attended by many senior level government officials. Participating institutions included the John Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Oklahoma National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, and the Analytical Services Institute for houseland Security.

The results of this exercise were grim, to put it mildly. According to the National Security Council, the worst case scenario was that within seven weeks, one million Americans would be dead, many millions others would be sick, and the disease would have spread to 25 states and to 13 foreign countries.

The Dark Winter exercise was no trivial undertaking. It was carefully planned and orchestrated, primarily by the prestigious John Hopkins University, to answer one question: Could America withstand an attack of human-inflicted disease. The answer was a resounding NO! - at least not in the case of smallpox. We flunked the exercise on a catastrophic scale.

Three months after the exercise, the September 11th attacks against the World Trade Center, and the subsequent anthrax mailings caused the attacks of terrorists to suddenly be more than just the stuff of "what if" simulations like Dark Winter. Terrorism had reached American soil for real.

Still others are predicting that diseases much worse than flu or smallpox will soon emerge. For example, Dr. Leonard Horowitz, a Harvard graduate who has become internationally known for his national best selling book, "Emerging Viruses - AIDS and Ebola - Nature, Accident, or Intentional" believes that "the big one" will be a genetically-engineered mutant of the 1918 influenza strain recombined with an acute lymphocytic leukemia virus. In other words, it will be a genetically-engineered flu that spreads quick-killing cancer through the air.

One can only imagine what the results of the Dark Winter exercise would have been if it was done with such an airborn killer virus, instead of just smallpox.

Dr. Frank Holtman, Head of the University of Tennessee, Bacteriological Department made this statement: "While the greater part of a city's population could be destroyed by an atomic bomb, the bacteria method might easily wipe out the entire population within a week. The virus causing psittacosis or parrot fever, one of the most deadly of human diseases, is appraised by the scientists as the most preferable for this purpose. While the cost of producing psittacosis bombs is comparatively cheap, its lethal potency is high. Less than one cubic centimeter of this virus is required to infect twenty million human beings when released in the air as infinitesimal spray." So less than one cubic centimeter of this stuff, "appraised by the scientists as the most preferable for this purpose", could kill 20 million people within one week.

But while Horowitz' acute lymphocytic leukemia mutant flu virus and Holtman's psittacosis bombs are just theoretical possibilities, there is already a smorgasbord of infectious agents and diseases out there waiting to be released, contracted, and spread. We've seen many recent occurances of both old and new diseases in humans here in America, including anthrax, bubonic plague, Hantavirus, West Nile virus, Asian bird flu, SARS, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, foot and mouth disease, yellow fever, leprosy, and Ebola. Also, little known is the fact that hepatitis A, hepatitis B, AIDS, and tuberculosis are rising fast in the United States. But news reports of these statistics are few and always buried in the back pages.

Yes, shockingly, several people have been infected with Ebola here in the United States. In 1989, one hundred monkeys were imported from Mindanao in the Philippines to a government facility in Reston, Virginia, where they were being studied by scientists trying to develop a vaccine for the Ebola virus. Some of the monkeys were first injected with Ebola, then with a potential vaccine. However, during the course of the study, healthy monkeys not infected with the virus started to exhibit symptoms of the disease, and one by one, over 70% of the monkeys died.

At first a veterinarian misdiagnosed them as having simian hemorrhagic fever (SHV), which is a terrible disease in monkeys but does not infect humans. Eventually the United States Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) conclusively diagnosed the disease as Ebola, and ruled out SHV. Fearing that the virus had mutated so that it could become airborne, the army was called in to quarantine the site, surrounding it with tanks and sealing the entire building with airtight tape. Because of the threat that Ebola might infect the staff and, in turn, spread to the public, all of the monkeys were euthanized and their remains were incinerated. When two of the team members began to exhibit early warning symptoms of Ebola, all of the workers who had contact with the monkeys were tested for exposure. Four out of 178 people were found to have serologic evidence of recent infection with Ebola. However, none of them developed Ebola hemorrhagic fever.

The scientists determined that they were dealing with a new strain of Ebola, which they named Ebola-Reston. They also discovered that the Ebola-Reston strain is an airborne virus, meaning that it can be transmitted through the air, while the deadly Ebola-Zaire strain, an outbreak of which killed 244 people in Zaire, is spread only through contact with blood and other bodily fluids. Fortunately, this new strain is deadly only to primates; it doesn't cause illness in humans. If normal precautions are taken, it is relatively difficult to contract Ebola-Zaire. In order to contract the virus, contact with infected bodily fluids of a visibly infected person is necessary. The reason Ebola-Zaire has, during its outbreaks, spread so rapidly is because of the poor sanitary conditions and hygienic practices of the health care systems in the Third World. It is not uncommon for needles and syringes to be reused. Also, some customs dictate that a corpse be carefully washed for burial. This practice is very dangerous, as the corpse will remain extremely infectious for long after the victim has succumbed to the disease.

But because the mode of transmission of the Ebola-Reston strain is airborne, it would have had a much greater chance of causing a large, uncontrollable outbreak, had it been able to cause disease in humans. For the Ebola-Reston strain to cause illness in humans, it would have to undergo specific genetic mutations. Similarly, for the Ebola-Zaire virus to become airborne, it too would have to undergo mutation. Well, scientists have learned that Ebola, like most flu viruses, has an extraordinary ability to mutate into different forms, so either of the above mutations is a distinct possibility. "Because it can mutate", said Gerald Stokes of George Washington University, "even benign forms of Ebola have the potential to become fatal to humans."

The 1995 movie "Outbreak" presented a horrifying scenario where a deadly hemorrhagic virus raced through a small town, decimating the population and threatening to spread to the entire continent. A team of virologists, led by Dustin Hoffman and Rene Russo, attempted to develop a vaccine before the virus caused a pandemic. The virus in the movie was modeled on the Ebola-Zaire virus, the real-life cause of four terrifying outbreaks in Africa. This strain of Ebola is the deadliest of all, with a fatality rate approaching 90%.

In the film, there is a sequence where Dustin Hoffman realizes that the virus they were dealing with had mutated to become airborne. Airborne transmission implies two things: that the virus can be excreted from the throat via coughing, sneezing, or even just normal respiration, and that it could survive for a length of time in the air. As the movie progresses the viewers are led to consider a variety of "what if" scenarios. What if a deadly form of Ebola-Zaire mutates so that it can easily travel through the air? What if infected but asymptomatic people had left town before the quarantine procedures had been put in place? What if a vaccine wasn't developed in time, which, in real life, takes years, not days of research? Again, one can only imagine what the results of an actual "Dark Winter" outbreak would be if the biological agent was a mutated strain of Ebola with an airborne mode of transmission.

Many scientists and physicians are telling us that the diseases which have in the past been primarily found in the Third World, or underdeveloped countries, such as the filoviruses Marburg and Ebola, are poised to soon enter the West. When this does happen, newspaper headlines and reports will no longer ignore them nor treat them so casually. With population growth, unprecedented immigration, increased global travel, and the likelihood that terrorists and rouge nations alike now have many weaponized microbes in their arsenals, the possibility of a major international pandemic looms ever closer on the horizon.

While an outbreak of a mutated, airborne strain of Ebola with a resulting pandemic is theoretically and scientifically possible, probably the number one infectious agent to be concerned about is anthrax. This is because it has been produced and stockpiled in such huge quantities (tens of thousands of tons) that it is unquestionably the most prevalent of all weapons. The story of how anthrax became the # 1 weapon in the world centers around a Russian man, Dr. Ken Alibek.

Dr. Alibek was the former deputy director of Biopreparat, the civilian arm of the former Soviet Union's biological weapons program. After he defected to America in 1992, Dr. Alibek appeared in October 1999 before a joint meeting of the House subcommittees on military procurement, research, and development where he testified about the Soviet's biological weapons program. Dr. Alibek has since written a book called "Biohazard: The Chilling True Story of the Largest Covert Biological Weapons Program in the World."

Dr. Alibek told committee members the Soviets launched their biological weapons program in 1928 and by the late 1980's had "the most powerful and sophisticated program of biological weapons in the world." He said that the Soviet Union established a huge production capability to manufacture biological weapons, and Russia still has four top-secret production facilities. One facility was capable of producing 1,000 tons of anthrax a year; another could make 50 tons a year. Other facilities could produce hundreds of tons of plague and other biological agents such as tularemia and glanders obgrislosis. And Russia has genetically modified many of these organisms, including anthrax, plague, tularemia, and glanders, so that they are resistant to penicillin, doxycycline, and probably other newer, more effective antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin (the first medication approved by the FDA for prophylaxis after exposure to a biological weapon).

One major problem with anthrax is that it is a silent killer, meaning that it takes many days to incubate before symptoms occur. Once symptoms are noticed, the disease probably has progressed to the point where it cannot be effectively treated with antibiotics and hospitalization. Antibiotic therapy is most efficacious if initiated during the incubation period as the disease progresses very rapidly once the symptoms, which can mimic flu in the early stages, are recognized.

Dr. Alibek said the Soviet military doctrine includes the use of anthrax and Marburg infection as strategic biological weapons (the Marburg virus, like Ebola, is a member of the family of filoviruses, and it behaves similarly to Ebola).

He believes that Russia has genetically modified a strain of Marburg virus so that it is transmissible via the respiratory route. He also believes that they have engineered a recombinant hybrid of Marburg and smallpox, called blackpox or Ebolapox. Dr. Alibek, told the grisly details: "In a blackpox infection, the skin does not develop blisters. Instead, the skin becomes dark all over. Blood vessels leak, resulting in severe internal hemorrhaging…. As a weapon, the Ebolapox would give the hemorrhages and high mortality rate of Ebola virus, which would give you a blackpox, plus the very high contagiousness of smallpox."

The Soviets have also developed sophisticated delivery systems such as medium-range bombers with spray tanks, cluster bombs and missiles. They also have strategic bombers and ballistic missiles with single and multiple warheads, so that coverage of a large ground area can be accomplished. Multiple spray bomblets containing desiccated spores can be disseminated from a missile warhead at a predetermined height above the ground.

On a clear night, a light plane equipped with a sprayer flying over a major city carrying 100 kilograms (about 220 lbs) of anthrax spores, could deliver a fatal dose of anthrax to up to 3 million people, according to a 1996 report in "New Scientist." Researchers at the CDC have created a model which estimates $26 billion of economic damage from the exposure of just 100,000 people to anthrax.

According to Soviet military doctrine, biological weapons, especially anthrax, will be used in massive amounts to significantly destroy any military resistance during a war. Because it is documented that the Soviets used biological weapons against German troops during World War II and in Afghanistan in 1982, it would be foolish to assume that they won't ever use them again.

Anyone who doubts the effectiveness of these weapons is wrong. In April, 1979, an accidental release of a very small quantity of anthrax in the Russian city of Sverdlovsk killed 66 people, although some reports put the real death count in the hundreds. The Soviet government claimed the deaths were caused by intestinal anthrax from tainted meat. It was not until 1992 that President Boris Yeltsin admitted the outbreak was the result of a military accident at a biological weapons facility secretly located in the city. Dr. Matthew Meselson, a Nobel Prize-winning molecular biologist at Harvard University is the leading American expert on the Sverdlovsk incident. He believes that some of the people who were downwind of the Biopreparet bio-weapons facility died after inhaling as few as 9 anthrax spores.

Interestingly, the Russian accident involved a total release of less than 1 gram of spores, dispersed over a distance of four kilometers! To put this figure into perspective, it is important to understand how deadly anthrax is. Military grade anthrax is 100,000 times more deadly than the most toxic chemical warfare agent. Three million anthrax spores were found in 2001 beneath one of the mail-sorting machines at the Southern Connecticut Processing & Distribution Mail Center - all evidently deposited by cross-contaminated mail, since none of the attacker's letters is believed to have passed through the sorting center. Three million spores is a minuscule fraction of the anthrax that was found in the terrorist's letter that was sent to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. This is only about one seven-hundred-thousandth of the spores that were in the letter.

According to Dr. David Sullivan, an anthrax expert at Johns Hopkins University, the envelope mailed to Tom Daschle's office contained 2 grams of pure anthrax, which is just a little less than a teaspoon of granulated material, but this amounted to about 20 billion spores. A study done in 1992 by Dr. Meselson determined that there was NO threshold dose required to cause inhalation anthrax, and that the previous estimates based on U.S. Army studies performed decades ago on monkeys, which concluded that the range of spore doses necessary to kill half the exposed animals was at least 8,000 to 10,000 spores before it became fatal, was grossly inaccurate for several reasons, most important of which was the type and grade of anthrax used. None of the primate studies used dried powder forms of anthrax, such as have been mailed to various destinations in the United States.

Military grade anthrax is very fine and has been processed to prevent it from clustering together and dispersing harmlessly. Obviously, we are talking of a very different "ball game" here than what was tested on the monkeys decades ago.

Supposedly, with the Cold War's end, Russia downsized its biological weapons program and ordered its stockpiles destroyed, but this claim has never been proven to be true. Dr. Alibek believes that only about 10 to 20 percent of the former Soviet capability remains today, "but believe me, it's enough to develop sophisticated biological weapons." he said.

Proliferation of Russian knowledge and expertise in this field is evident as Russia continues publishing research and development work conducted in the 1980's and 1990's. This knowledge has spread to many other countries and terrorist organizations. Many publications produced in the last seven years contain instructions on how to manufacture biological agents. Some years ago, Dr. Alibek found a flyer on the internet which described new techniques to genetically alter tularemia bacteria for increased lethality. Terrorists and rogue nations can easily get this information, and more, for the cost of a Russian translator.

Up to 70,000 scientists were involved in the Soviet Cold War biological weapons research, development, and manufacturing. A few moved to the United States and other western nations when the Soviet Union collapsed, but most went to Iraq, Iran, and other countries that may now be proliferating biological weapons. Because a lot of these Russian scientists are now underpaid or unemployed, it would no doubt be irresistible for some of them, if they got high paying offers, to start working for someone else. And now, well over two dozen of the world's leading microbiologists and scientists who specialized in infectious disease, those who have the knowledge to develop new vaccines, have been mysteriously murdered.

In addition to the extensive Russian programs, there are literally hundreds of small bio labs around the world capable of producing extremely virulent organisms, and in sufficient quantities to cause widespread death if released. World War Three is just around the corner. In fact, in many ways it has already begun. It's just that most Americans are too blind to recognize it.

So what does the future hold for us with the possibility of future plagues, nuclear terrorism, and even nuclear war? The owners definitely don't know the answer to this question. They do know, however, that their house would be a very safe place for self-quarantine during such an outbreak or event. One reason why is because it is equipped with a genuine Swiss-made Luwa nuclear, biological, chemical air filter that will effectively filter out all known bacteriological agents, all known viruses, and even radioactive fallout.

A secure house like this is the wave of the future, and would be a very wise investment, both practically and financially. A house of such outstanding design, quality, function, and security doesn't appear on the open real estate market very often, if at all. While nobody knows for sure how much time is left before things go awry, one thing is certain; it is better to be prepared a year or more too early, than to be a single day too late.

Even for a venture in normal times, this house would be a good investment. Property values in the area continue to climb. And there have been dramatic increases in building materials, especially steel and concrete, since the house was built, meaning that the cost to rebuild it now would be considerably higher.

But the big thing is that after an inevitable domestic weapons of mass destruction terrorist event in this country, the demand for such an extraordinarily unique piece of real estate will literally skyrocket overnight. It would probably be easy to sell it for well over a million after such a devastating event. That is, if there is any resemblance of an economy left.
